Story
A modern retelling of the classic Dede Korkut legend, the film follows Dumrul — a brave, helpful but down-on-his-luck Anatolian young man bound by traditional values. After ending up in prison for a crime he didn't commit, he finds himself in the mafia underworld (the land of wolves and birds), guarding the bridges and protecting Fatoş, daughter of Can Baba. Where the original legend pits Dumrul against the Angel of Death, this adaptation sets him against the injustices of organized crime. Directed by Oğuz Yalçın, this 2010 Turkish comedy-drama-adventure stars Emir Benderlioğlu.
