Story
A nostalgic series set in an Istanbul side neighborhood about people fighting for friendship, love and livelihood. Centered around open-air cinema projectionist Sultan (Şevket Çoruh) and Asiye (Başak Köklükaya), the production tells the dreams, financial hardships, loves and conflicts of the neighborhood folk. The series exalts hope within poverty through proud, honest and good-hearted neighborhood portraits, with music by Kemal Sahir Gürel and Kâzım Koyuncu providing a warm atmosphere. Despite great interest, the series ended at episode 26 because the writer chose not to continue. Tuba Büyüküstün appeared in the final episodes. Airing on Kanal D between 2003-2004, it is considered one of the warmest family/neighborhood series in Turkish television history.
