Story
Set from the 1970s through the September 12, 1980 coup, this dramatic story intertwines the impossible love of Yurdanur and Mehmet — who hold different political views — with the political atmosphere of the era and the lives of the colorful characters in Madam Niki's mansion. Yurdanur, daughter of a noble family, defies her family to marry leftist university student Mehmet; their love is tested by the era's left-right conflict and class divide. In the 2000s, journalist Feriha hears this story from her mother Yurdanur (Selda Alkor) and writes it for her magazine. Conceived by Tomris Giritlioğlu, this production has earned its place in Turkish TV history as an unforgettable classic. Airing on Kanal D between 2004-2005, the series ran for 40 episodes.
